I call my curriculum the presto method.
A few years ago, an exceptional person came to my classroom and finish concertos Vivaldi's A minor, G minor and 1st mov. of Bach's Doppel Concerto, only ten months after playing the violin for the first time.
I was forced to prepare a curriculum suitable for this student's progress speed, so I devised the presto method.
I thought that a student who could reach the intermediate level in 10 months would be able to play the Mendelssohn concerto in 3 years, so I thought of a curriculum that would allow her to improve in the shortest possible time.
Unfortunately, she isn't there now, but I and the other students are practicing with this curriculum.
The etudes and songs I wrote in yesterday's post are the core of the presto method.
